During a "clandestine, spontaneous happening" at the CPT Rocky Versace Plaza and Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Memorial Day 2020, the "Friends of Rocky Versace" remembered Lance Corporal Richard Holt Freudenthal, U.S. Marine Corps, as well as Alexandria's 67 other Vietnam War Fallen Heroes. Dear Lcpl Richard Freudenthal,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
