We Will Remember
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

My friend Allen
While watching the Memorial Day remembrance on PBS I thought of my high school friend and Jewel co-worker Al. We laughed and clowned at the South Park Jewel, graduated from MTHS and went out ways. I heard you fell when I was in college and it hit me hard. Then I am was drafted in 68, and I thought of you. RIP my friend, never forgotten!

Thank You
Dear Lcpl Allen French,
Thank you for your service as a Wireman. Yesterday was your 72nd birthday. Happy birthday. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

50 Years Gone but Never Forgotten
Well buddy, it's 50 years tomorrow, Aug 15, 2016, that we were in Charlie Battery 11th Marines and you were lost while out as an FO but you are not forgotten. The good Lords plan has me still here, two years now retired and starting to feel the aches of old age but enjoying the quieter side of life. I made sure my sons know who you are and understand what you and your family gave up. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!
We will meet again and until then buddy..."Charlie on the way....wait!"
