Dear family friend
Dear David,
I remember the times so many, many years ago when our families got together, we had so much fun.
I remember the concern when you were shipped to Nam, and the grief when your mom, dad and siblings were notified that your chopper was shot down. And there was pride as well, that you had done a good job, but at such a price.
I post your photo and service information on my house flag every May; my neighbors who are veterans salute you each Memorial Day. You are not forgotten.

Brother Dave
I visited the Memorial Wall today. I don't always appreciate how many other families lost that war. It has been 48 years and I still look twice when I see a young man on a motorcycle or hear the Beatles on the radio. I still wish my daughters had known you and now, my grandchildren. I hold you in my heart always. Peace and love, from your sister, Herbie
