I served with you in Vietnam on that day at that bridge. RIP

Bridge #34 on National Highway QL-21, east of Ban Me Thout in Darlac Province, RVN. Bridge was constructed by Task Force “Sierra” and dedicated to 1LT Michael P. Austin, Security Platoon Leader from Third Platoon, B Company, 299th Engineer Battalion (Combat), killed in action on February 2, 1971.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. As long as you are remembered you will never truly die...

I am humbled to set foot on the Softball Field named in your honor. My men's team played there in 90's. And now both of my daughters have also played there.
Your Family are some of the most wonderful people one could ever know.
