Corporal John Paul Francis, Served with the Headquarters and Service Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Third Marine Amphibious Force. He was assigned to Company F, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, when he was killed in action.

Dear Cpl John Francis,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. It is Columbus Day, and another national holiday has arrived. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

I come back to this page on occasion to see if he has been remembered by others. This is my Uncle and I am so proud of him. To all that have posted...THANK YOU!! I have tears right now, just knowing that he is thought of. Blessing to you all!!
