Dear Lcpl John Francavilla,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. It is Columbus Day, and another national holiday has arrived. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

John - I didn't know you well at Renton High School, but your passing brought me great sadness as I had just lost my brother (Charles Petchnick) the year before. I knew what your family was going through. Thank you for your sacrifice. You are not, nor will you ever be forgotten. God Bless.
