honoring you...
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

PFC Jeffrey Foulke 1st Battalion, 9th Marines
I am a combat veteran from 1st Battalion, 9th Marines and served in Viet Nam from 1965 until May 1966. A very good friend of mine was killed in Los Angeles on May 13, 1968. I have visited my friend's grave every year since his death. 20 or 25 years ago I noticed that PFC Foulke was buried just a few feet from my friend who was also a US Marine. Each year I pay my respects to my friend and to Jeffrey by placing flowers and a US and USMC Flag at his gravesite. I do this out of respect and honor to my friend and to PFC Foulke. I will be there on 5-13-21 at 1100 hours to honor them again. May His Memory Be Eternal John E Miller USMC

Thank You
Dear PFC Jeffrey Foulke,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC Jeffrey Howard Foulke, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
