honoring you...
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died on my 20th birthday. I am now 73 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

Who could ever forget you!
Dear sweet Jimmy, people were talking today on Facebook about some of those we had lost in Vietnam and you were one of them. That was such a difficult time for all of us to lose someone as sweet, as kind, and as gentle as you. You are one of those people that other people just don't forget. God bless you always. Hugs sent your way. Rest in peace dear Jimmy.

Uncle Jimmy
I was 9 and you had barely turned 20 when you gave your life for our country.
I remember taking you to the airport for boot camp and picking you up when you had leave before you were deployed. I had no clue what was to come. Grandma, Aunt Sharon, Aunt Carol, Mom and I would faithfully watch the scroll on TV while crocheting. Hoping we would never see you or your older brother on it.
That wouldn't be as your brother was wounded and you were taken from us forever.
You were the fun Uncle, teaching me to ski, dancing in the kitchen and playing football in the road. I'm now 61 and remember you every day. I will always respect our country in honor of you and the others who gave all for us.
