PFC Byron James Foster was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his heroism in action. He served as an Infantryman, Airborne Qualified, and was assigned to C CO, 1ST BN, 503RD INFANTRY, 173RD ABN BDE.

Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantryman. It is now fall, and as the seasons pass, it is important to remember you all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call.
