THE WALL OF FACES

On April 23, 1969, I assisted in surgery on PFC Forte. I was an Operating Technician

Private First Class Gerald Wayne Forte, Served with Company G, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Third Marine Amphibious Force.

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Dear PFC Gerald Forte,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. It is now fall, and as the seasons pass, it is important to remember you all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Love and miss you we had so much fun as children not a worry in the world " except of course if we would get snow cone money! And of course you playing your Gutair and singing Elvis as loud as you could !!! You were such a Handsome Man . Thank you so much for your surpreme sacriface !!
