A "local boy"

My father brought home a bracelet for me from a community meeting. He specifically asked for a "local boy." I was in sixth grade, I believe. I wrote to Mrs. Fors and received a gracious letter and picture in return. I still have them. I am 58 years old now.

I have the bracelet too. And every Memorial Day, this is my Facebook profile pic.

Will Always Be In Our Prayers

As a teenager back in the 70's I wore a bracelet with his name. I had researched and wrote to his family and received a letter back and a photo of Gary Fors. I held on to it for years but unfortunately lost it and my bracelet. But never lost the memory. Recently I purchased a necklace with dog tags with his name and info. On this day I would like to say to his family how truly sorry for their loss and I will continue to hold them in my heart and prayers till the day I'm called home to be with others who have gone before me.

Never Forgotten

Back when I was a young teen I bought a bracelet with his name on it. I have always wondered about what became of him until i finally did some research. i have now been wearing this bracelet for more than 15 years now. To his family if they read this, I have his bracelet for you if you would like it.

Thank you and your are not forgotten

I bought your bracelet the first time I ever visited the wall a few years back. I am a Veteran and spent some time at war. I am thankful for you, your service and dedication to our country. You are not forgotten. I will wear this bracelet in your honor and memory.
