My best buddy

Dick and I hung around a lot before I enlisted in the Service. I remember posing as a relative to get him off base for a few hours for a home-cooked meal. His family honored me by requesting I be assigned to his burial detail, which I was.
Dick, I miss ya now more than ever.

Thank You

Dear PFC Richard Forester,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Your 69th birthday is soon, happy birthday. It is now fall, and as the seasons pass, it is important to remember you all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
