My Uncle Ray, whom I never met
I was 17 years away from being born when you sacrificed your life for our country. Your baby brother, Tom (and his wife, Jessica) adopted me from South America in '87. They are why I am an American and why I live in a safe and special country that YOU and my dad both fought for. I'm so sorry about what happened to you. You were so special to so many. Your parents (my grandparents) never let us forget you. Your pictures always remained in the dining and living rooms, where we spent so many holidays. I'm proud of you, Uncle Ray. Thank you for your service. Love, your niece ... Ashley

What A Great Guy
Ray, you were one of the Good Guys! What a hoot you were in Flight School. I always considered you to be a friend, and I still think of you and remember you now more than 50 years later. Your loss was a great loss for us all. RIP, Friend. If God ever needs a good helicopter pilot, I'm sure he'll choose you.
