1st 22nd Inf Ft. Lewis
I remember this heroe when he was LT. Ator back in 1962 to 1964 Ft. Lewis WA.I served with the 1st of the 22nd Infantry Regiment 4th Infantry Division. He was an amazing individual. Sharp soldier one you would not hesitate to face an enemy with. A professional officer and a true gentleman. My heart aches to know we lost him in combat. My condolences to his family.

My Grandfather
Happy Birthday, Grandpa Buck!
You are on my mind this week- especially today, your birthday. Your incredible sacrifice for our country and the men you served with that fateful day is felt to this day by your family, and we couldn't be prouder of you.
I'm sure you know Grandma still loves you as much today as she did the day you were married. I promise to continue to love and care for her in your absence.
Although we have never met, I feel I know you from family stories and the stories on this wall. I hope one day to make it to the wall to honor you, Grandpa.
Love Amanda
