Sonny, you will never get any older.
To Sonny Flowers;
I have been to the wall several times over the years. Each time I find you and say a prayer that you did not suffer. I cry and remember you as a young man, a friend, a buddy, a comrade, and a Marine.
I am now 60 years old and I am an old man. You will never get any older in my mind. I remember the red '57 Plymouth and your dad's Cadillac. I also remember depositing you on the front steps one night when we had too much to drink.
You always had the knack for getting in trouble and me having to bail you out.
I miss you man.
Hope to see you when I get to where you are. I have lots of stories to tell you.
