do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will never truly die....
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will never truly die....

Guard the streets of heaven Marine, until the rest of us catch up.
Charles was a fine Marine, he excelled in everything he undertook. He was platoon 2080’s honor graduate Fall of 1968 in San Diego. I was in boot camp with him, but did not get to know him well. I know he took state in MO in wrestling. Sorry he didn’t get to have the joy of grandkids and other of life’s rewards. Such is the price of freedom and his willingness to pay our share.
