do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Fletch my buddy

Never forget the day you ran over the mine. I jumped off the APC and ran to the front of yours. I remember seeing your bloodshot eyes and Doc standing over you and yelling at me to "help me get him out of there, he's going into shock. I guess God gave us the strength that day to lift your dead weight from the drivers seat and to a place that Doc could fix you up. And then too vividly I remember that fateful day in October. Those haunting memories. I know that God has you now and on behalf of Shrapnel, Jake, Umlauf, George and myself we look forward to the day we will see you surrounded by God's army of angels. Love you Bro.
