Thank You
Dear Cpl Larry Fleming,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Your 76th birthday just passed, happy birthday. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

50 years
50 years have gone by since we carried you to the mere act chopper for your final journey home. Our last conversation was just before the burst of gunfire that took you down. You were a great leader. I was proud to have known you.
My gun team was attached to Larry's platoon. I remember every step to the medevac and the grim faces watching as we passed.
