Dear Corporal,
You were just 12 years old when your father died in Saigon. I have read about the circumstances involving your father's death. You must of known then that you were going to join the military just as soon as you were old enough.
Thank you for serving in the Marine Corp as a rifleman. You knew the risk of serving in the Corp as a grunt. You did with a courage that is rare and for that I greatly respect what you stood for. Semper fidelis.
