After 54 & 1/2 years I finally made my way to your grave site in Memphis, TN. I feel like I have had a scab removed and an old wound opened. Sorry it has taken me so long to get to you final resting place.

I read your name for the 5th time on Wednesday 11/09/2022 @ 8:54P during the 40th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. I served in the same platoon with Freddie on February 20th 1969 when he was taken from us. RIP my brother.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrances from fellow soldier Ron Worstell are touching and reflect his admiration and respect for you. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us….
