Ground Casualty

PFC Ronald E. Fisher was a Food Service Specialist serving with the 15th Engineer Company, 229th Engineer Battalion. On November 16, 1968, PFC Fisher reportedly injected himself with an unknown drug substance. He was taken to the 71st Evacuation Hospital in Pleiku where he expired the following afternoon. The Army coded his loss “Accidental self-destruction”; however, his death certificate issued in Vietnam indicated his mode of death as “suicide.” [Taken from coffeltdatabase.org]

Thank You

Dear PFC Ronald Fisher,
I hope your photo is put here because this wall of faces is missing yours. Thank you for your service as a Food Service Specialist. Tuesday is the 17th anniversary of 9/11, and we remember you all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
