honoring you...

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You

Dear Ssgt James Fisher,
Thank you for your service as an Armor Crewman. Tuesday is the 17th anniversary of 9/11, and we remember you all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SSGT James Roy Fisher, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

My Courageous Father: James Roy Fisher

Dad,
I love you, even though I never had the chance to meet you, since I was 7 when you were KIA. The first 23 years of my life I was angry that you were not here, I wasnt angry at you, I was angry at the US Government. I acted out, and I paid dearly for my mistakes. Then one day I woke up to the realization that I was taking advantage of ALL of the freedoms that you fought for, and died for, and I'm SO sorry Dad. I am a different man today, I am a man who strives to be like YOU, brave, courageous, kind, unselfish, & loving.I no longer take our freedoms for granted, instead, I honor you, and ALL veterans by living a life that is full of character & integrity. I am JUST like you Dad, in EVERY way. Thank you father, for bringing me into this world, and God Bless America!
