Thank You

Dear Larry,
I never got the honor to meet you, but I feel like I know you to some degree. My whole life, I’ve heard about you. How you were my dad’s (Fred Huteson) best friend, from your early childhood days. After my dad was wounded the first time in Nam, you sent him a letter telling him you were joining the Marines. You and my dad passed by each other on that field and talked and hugged one last time shortly before you were called home to heaven. Thank you for your service, your bravery, your sacrifice, and your unwavering friendship to my dad. He thinks about you every day and loves you so much.

Memories

Married right before you shipped out and was a widow three weeks later. In your memory when I remarried my son was named after you. Have kept you in our memories always.

Thank You

Dear PFC Larry Fincher,
Thank you for your service as an Antitank Assaultman. Your 70th birthday is soon, happy birthday. Labor Day just passed, and we remember you all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
