A friend and a brother.

I miss you always my Marine brother. I can still see and hear you talking to me just before you were killed. I wish it had been me and not you.

Brother in Arms

Never forget that night. I think of you often especially July 2nd and September 27. For some reason I always recall untangling you when the vines hung up on your radio. Peace my brother. Hope to see you again.

Uncle Allan

We never met but I wanted you to know that you were my motivation to join the Corps and finish what you started. I believe we even shared the same platoon number in MCRD 2093, 30 years later. I named my son after you so your memory will last even after I'm gone. RIP Uncle Allan

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Allan Theo Aslett, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
