Thank you from the son of your Marine brother
You don’t know me, but I recently discovered you served with my dad in 2nd Squad, 2nd Platoon, Echo Company, 2/4. One of the few stories he ever talked about was the time he was the lone survivor of his 5 man squad, which caused him survivor’s guilt his entire life. My dad recently died, and I found a hand written paper that describes the events of that tragic day in June ‘67. In that paper, there was a name…Ferguson. It didn’t take long to find you, and I only wished he would have shared the full story when he was with us. To quote the 2/4 motto, you are both Second to None. May you rest in peace Marine.
