A Real Father

You were the funniest man I ever knew as a child. We rode to Barstow in your chevy and you sang to us all the way. I would stand beside you and pretend to be shaving. You would pretend to do karate on me and say 'kaiee!' I still remember your deep voice and joined the service when it was my time because of you. I remember you always Bud. You were the closest thing to a real father I've ever known. My childhood hero. I will never forget that Sat.in Nov.66 when they came to the door in San Bernadino. It effected my life for years. My heartfelt thanks to whom ever is responsible for your memorial here!

I will not forget

Another year has past, yet the memory never ceases. My thoughts are daily of you and Kenneth, they just can not be erased...in memory of you and Kenneth I serve to preserve your sacrifice, in my service to the V.V.A, Purple Heart Soc. and V.F.W.

The War Doesnt End

The war does not end
it transforms
Into an empty chair
A Broken Heart
Into questions without answers
dreams never realized
tears never ending

A name on a wall
a black hole of grief
and the word
never uttered
because the answer
will never be good enough
