Thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Thank you for stepping up and answering your country's call. You gave everything you had to give. Rest easy knowing you will never be forgotten.

You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Carl.

On 28 June 1966 Company A, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry, lost twelve men in a firefight east of Bao Trai. They were:

• PFC Gerald Lee Crosby, Rockville, Maryland
• PFC Pedro Luis Lamourt-Tosado, Camuy, Puerto Rico
• PFC Arthur G Mitchell, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
• PFC James Allen Tazelaar, Muskegon, Michigan

My dad was KIA before I was even born. I am trying to find more information about my dad. If anyone knew him or has any photos of him I would greatly appreciate if you would be willing to share with me. I would love to hear anything about him.

Carl was an Infantryman with A CO, 1st BN, 27th Infantry, 25th Infantry DIV. He was killed alongside 11 members of A CO when they became engaged in a hostile firefight East of Bao Trai, Hai Nghai Province. RIP Carl, your bravery, courage and dedication to your country will never be forgotten.
