A letter

Joe, I stumbled upon a letter of your’s from when you were in basic training to my father Frank wigmore who passed away 7 years ago. You spoke of how basic training was, and how incredible the moon landing was. It was really incredible to read. You were a great friend to my father and was delighted to stumble upon it. Was happy to share that and I wanted to tell you thank you so much for your service you are missed by many.

Salute to a great guy...

Hey Joe, it's been over 50 years since HCHS and yet I still remember the laughs and good times we shared when times seemed innocent and carefree. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. I look forward to hearing your name read in November along with other heroes, and I hope that you'll be smiling down on us and offering up some witty wisecrack to go along with the memories. You will always be remembered...Bill

I served with him.

I remember Doc Feeney well. Before he went to medivac he was a medic with a line company. My company, Bravo, 3/187, 101st Abn. He was a great medic and I remember him as a friend. I saw that he died on 10/10/1971. I was wounded in action on 10/13/1971. They were crazy times.
