A Wonderful Brother
Rich, I just want to say you live on in our hearts and memories. The war may have taken your body but your spirit lives on. You were the best brother to all of us. I always looked up to you and wanted to be just like you. You always did your own thing and never was a follower. You were strong and courageous before you entered the army so when I heard how you died I wasn’t surprised at your courage. I want you to know that your not forgotten and never will be forgotten. I hope to be with you again on the other side. God Blrss you Rich and love you.

A True Model of Bravery and Goodness
Today 53years ago The Vietnam War took our brother Richard as he made the ultimate sacrifice.
At that time it seemed unthinkable that we had lost a brother, son , nephew, cousin and friend. He was one of the Eight. Four brothers and Four Sisters who loved him dearly.
Our loss was great as he was truly a special gift from God .
To this day we remember him everyday with a smile as his magnetic personality lives on.
So He is never to be forgotten,
But will remain always in our hearts.

Strong enough to be a hero
I was about 3 years old when Ritchie lived with my parents to gather his strength for a relatively new cardiac surgery. I think he was about 7 years old. Before the procedure he could barely walk without getting winded. The family really loved him and was amazed at how he recovered. He was strong enough to serve our country in Viet-Nam. I got the news of his death on my 16th birthday. I remember the grief of his extended family,at his funeral at St. Louis Church and burial near his grandparents. especial (especially his dad). His smile and voice are still remembered. Nearly died as a kid, but became strong enough to be a hero.
