The last day I saw you

Ivan as your little sister
Patricia Betancourt
I remember the last day I saw you. You came home to say good bye to Mom and your siblings
Mom had broken her leg so she was sitting down when she kissed you goodbye and I remember seeing you walk out the door I was 12. I will never forget the look on your face as you left. Little did I know the next time we would see you would be at your funeral. I was 14 then.
You were truly loved you had a big wonderful send off. You touched many lives. Thank you for being the family Hero. I still miss you so much. Mom was truly devastated by your death we all were.
See you again someday.
I take comfort in knowing that your with Mom and our Brother Victor. Love you Pat

honoring you...

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died one day before your 19th birthday. I am 73 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.
