In Honor of a Friend
John was my brother's friend growing up in Flint, they were both sent to Vietnam after high school. I remember how kind John and his family were. He was always friendly, even to a goofy little 12 year old girl like me. Our neighborhood was very sad when John passed away. It seemed we just couldn't find the words to express our sorrow to his family. How can you put such feelings into words? Shortly after, my brother Thomas Carmen Henry was killed, and our neighborhood once again mourned the loss of a fine young man.
