Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Mary Frye – 1932

NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER
It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. The Ultimate Sacrifice
I am a student of Gridley High School in Gridley Illinois, and as a social science project, my class and others have come together to do our best to see to it that each and every brave soul who lost their lives have someone remember them on this monument. So, brave sir, on behalf of my school, my town, my state, and my great nation, and offer my deepest and sincerest thanks for what you have given for us... Your life.
