My father and Randall were among a small group of 39th combat engineers A company who on in the late afternoon sept 17 1968 volunteered to assemble together to come to aide of fellow soldiers who were ambushed by a battalion of NVA. The location of the incident is known as “The Hook”
My father and Randall were together when Randall was killed. Randall was a honorable soldier and human being
