L. Cpl. Thomas E. Falk
I'm sitting at the grave site of my wife's uncle who was buried here this morning. I notice the grave marker of Thomas Falk next to our graveside. It simply states his unit and date if death. I noticed that he was 20 y.o.a. when he died. I'm thinking...this kid must have died in action. I looked up his name, and this kid was a hero at the battle of Hue. No one would know this by thesimple marker that he has.

My student, My friend, My fellow boot, My Brother-in-Arms. Miss you.
Three enlisted together; two made it home. So sorry my Brother. You gave all at Hue, wounded and refusing medical treatment so that others might have a chance of life. You are a true hero. I continue to pray for you and you are always in my heart. SEMPER FI, MARINE. RIP
