Thank You
Dear PFC Gerald Evenhus,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

YOU ARE FOREVER AND ALWAYS IN MY HEART
Jerry, you were taken from me way to soon. I will never forget celebrating our First Anniversary while you were home on leave. A dozen red roses and all your love. Our last days together at Camp Pendleton.Praying the Lord's Prayer together as we lay in bed holding each other. Getting the letter you wrote the day you died, that you just didn't feel right. How I wish I could have had your child to have part of you with me FOREVER AND ALWAYS! I WILL FOREVER LOVE YOU AND NEVER FORGET MY FIRST REAL LOVE!!
