You are not forgotten, Alvin
I saw you in your chopper as you flew past my ship on the day that it crashed next to it. In memory of you and your fellow crewman, I created a blog page: Chopper crash, the whole story at https://purgingmyvietnam.blogspot.com/

THANK YOU
Dear Sp4 Alvin Evanoff,
Thank you for your service as a Flight Qualified UH-1 Helicopter Repairer - door gunner. It is important for us to remember all of you. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

We were on the same plane, even wound up in the same unit
then I got assigned to the same unit. I will never forgot that day! Orders arrived for Evanoff, Williamson and myself to return to the world in December 27, 1970! On December 6, they gave their lives serving this country
