George was a grade school friend
George lived close to me in west Huntington in grade school. We played often together with other guys in our neighborhood. I learned of his service and sacrifice only a few years ago when I visited the Wall and looked up several names. R.I.P, Georgie!

Thank You
Dear Sgt George Eubanks,
Thank you for your service as an Infantry Direct Fire Crewman with the 1st Cavalry. It is important for us to remember all of you. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

I never got to know you
I never got to know you. I wish that I had. I have heard at various times throughout my almost 27 years now that I was the golden grandchild because I share my birthday with you. Sadly, it's also your death date. However, today, Veteran's Day 2013, I have learned more about you than anyone has ever told me so far and I have to admit, I'm proud to be related to you.
My love of a breed you handled is clearly in my blood as is the desire to be a K9 handler myself.
When we finally meet in heaven....
