Best Friends
I’m so glad you came to see us before you left, the memory crosses my mind often. We lost too many friends and classmates but your loss was especially hard for my husband Darwin. I married your best friend and we’ve had 72 years together and 2 kids, a son and daughter. We named our son Brian Steven but lost him at the age of 20 in a car accident.
Darwin recalled a time when you and he floated the South Platte in your tiny Montgomery Ward boat at flood stage. He had some great times with you and misses you to this day. Your memory and ultimate sacrifice for our freedom will never be forgotten.
