Dear cousin Danny,
We played together as kids until you moved to California and I stayed in Texas. You died in Vietnam on the same day I was to leave for Vietnam. I wish somehow we could have seen each other again. (Baldito)

do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

We Were Brothers in Vietnam
I just finished hiking 2,193 miles on the Appalachian Trail in your honor, and the other 461 Men from 3/4 that gave the ultimate sacrifice. My story of your bravery was just published Sunday, Oct 18, 2020 in the Albuquerque Journal Newspaper. For 6 months, we laughed, cried, patroled like brother before you died. I will never forget you. Some day, we will hug again, and our joyful tears will erase the pains of War.
