honoring you...
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

My father’s good friend
You were my dad’s close friend through school and into adulthood. Your death in combat in Vietnam caused him great pain for the remainder of his years. As a way to honor your life (and your death), he named me Dennis Keith as well.
I wish I knew more about you and your ultimate sacrifice for our country and freedom. My dad has also passed now and with him so much I don’t know about. I’ve visited your gravesite many times and mourned your life cut so tragically short.
I am so proud of you and honored to carry your name and always remember your brave and inspirational life.
Rest In Peace...
