Take The Challenge
I recently received the challenge to recognize and remember 100 of the Vietnam War Veterans. My U.S History teacher is a Vietnam Veteran and feels that these people who gave their lives should have some type of a remembrance. I feel that this challenge is one that will make an impact to at least one person. So now, I challenge you who are reading this to remember these amazing people as well.
I am now recognizing Jesse James III Arthur who served in the Marine Corps and died at the age of 20. Thank you for you courageous acts!

Jesse James
I knew Jesse when we were teenagers in Atlanta (Chamblee). He was fearless yet very friendly. He never mentioned family, he did live on and off with my extended family, in-laws and cousins. Jesse had one of the best personalities anyone could have. We sure had a lot of fun hanging around the neighborhood pool. You will always be known as a very brave Marine. Thank you Jesse from your friend and a fellow Vietnam veteran, you gave this country everything you had and everything you would ever have. You deserve eternal life. Allons!

Sweet Jesse
Jesse lived with us at the time he and my brother joined the Marines. He seemingly had no family except an infant son who he loved so much and talked of constantly. The last time I saw him was at Parris Island. He was graduating and going on, my brother was held back because of a knee injury. Our last letter from him, which arrived after his death, asked only of news of his son. I remember him as one of the sweetest guys I ever knew, and will never forget him.
