THE WALL OF FACES

I met Danny when we were classmates at Ft Bragg attending SFOC. Danny was with the 10th Group and I was with the 6th Group. My best friend, Randy Cheston, was in the 10th Group so that is where or conversation started since he knew Randy. I found Danny to be very personable, but kinda quiet with a great sense of humor. After SFOC, I had orders to the 5th Group too but got diverted to the 1st Cavalry Division. On this Memorial Day, I am honoring Danny for his sacrifice and his service to Special Forces. Captain Danny Day Entrican was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V) and Oak Leaf Cluster, for his exemplary courage in action. He served as a Special Forces Qualified Infantry Unit Commander and was assigned to RT ALASKA, TF-1 AE, MACV-SOG, 5TH SF GROUP.

My mom passed a couple months ago. While going through her things I found a pow bracelet with this name on it. I am very curious how she got it. And why...? I treasure it bc it was something I knew she had before I was born. I wear it. And started finding all I can about Capt Danny D. Entrican I can.
