Honoring your service
Time has gone on, but your service not forgotten. I would like to extend my deepest respects and continued comfort to you and your loved ones. I came across your beloveds name today, after not knowing anything about the war, as it shows how deep the wounds and memories of war can be. My own father, Gene Strupe, served alongside yours in a different capacity, but in the same 128th Assault Helicopter Company July-Sept 1969. The war history archived doc was on Vietnam Center website.. Respectfully to you and your family, I wanted to acknowledge your bravery and sacrifice. Also, for those who were alongside with you during this difficult war. May you continue to rest in peace. https://vva.vietnam.ttu.edu/repositories/2/digital_objects/331499

Remembering my dearest cousin Gregory
First I would like to thank those individuals who posted a remembrance of Gregory. I am Gregory’s first cousin Denise. Greg was such a good soul. Kind, loving, a loving husband to his wife and loving father to his son whom he never had the chance to meet. He was a proud soldier who served his county well. I salute you Greg for the wonderful man you were to your family, friends and the world around you. You are in my heart and thoughts always! God Bless you dearest cousin

Dear Captain Gregory Engel,
Thank you for your service as a Rotary Wing Aviation Unit Commander - Helicopter Pilot. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
