I dont have any memories of meeting you, but aunt June kept you alive all these years with stories of a giant of a man with a giant heart. You wanted to serve your country, she said, so when the Army said no because of a bum knee, the Marines was where you served. It was a horrible, long, tour in Vietnam for you. Although you never made it home in body, your spirit has been kept alive over 50 years later. Rest in peace knowing you are remembered as a brave hero.

Without people like you our great nation would not exist. Rest in peace, PFC. Elmore I salute your brave soul. Semper Fidelis!

Dear PFC Allan Elmore,
