I am part of the Pinal County Veteran Memorial Foundation. Pinal County has selected Casa Grande, AZ to place a memorial for all fallen soldiers in all wars. Friend from Florence and I followed in your footsteps as a Navy Corpsman
Don, was a little older than me when we were growing up in Florence. I remember when he gave the ultimate sacrifice while trying to save one of his Marines. Little did I know that after his death that I would be serving as a Navy Corpsman FMF in Vietnam. I consider myself the lucky one for I came home. God bless you Donald you gave all. His Silver Star says it all. He was a true American Hero. Doc, you are missed.
