Thanks George !
I was in high school when a girlfriend of mine said she had the names and address of several guys serving in Vietnam. There were no pictures just names and address. I chose George L. Elliott lll. I sent him my first letter and he wrote back to me. Soon we exchanged pictures. As time went on it was clear to me that I was falling for this handsome guy. He had about 30 days left of his service time. How excited I was he was going to come and see me. But on his way back from R & R
on March 6th 1968 his transport back to the war was shot down and he was a casualty of the Vietnam war. How sad for his family. One of his buddy's from Vietnam came to see me after he came home. George you will Always have a place in my heart. Love, Susan

George Elliott
I was greatful to have been able to have knowen George. He was a gental and honest person. Last fall I had late in the evening I made a visit to the movable wall which was set up in Nampa Idaho. I had never viewed the wall before. As I walked through the walkways I was thinking of George, whom I had met in 1967 or 1968. I was told years ago that he had been killed in the war. As I walked through his name just seemed to jump out at me that night. I said a prayer for him which is something I do not do to often. God rest his soul.
