Silver Star Medal Award

Lt. Paul Herbert Eklund was awarded the Silver Star Medal for his conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action. He served as an Infantry Unit Commander and was assigned to A CO, 1ST BN, 18TH INFANTRY, 1ST INF DIV.
