My Childhood Friend
Roger Wayne Williams and I grew up together and actually our families shared an apartment in the projects of Muskegon Heights (original WWII Converted dorms). I arrived in country just 13 days prior to his being killed and it shook me to my core as a young 19 year old. I am still in contact with many of his siblings/cousins with whom I grew up and they were very proud/excited that I had a recent opportunity (Dayton Honor Flight) to visit the Wall and provide them with the information I obtain during my visit.
Rest well my good friend and fellow veteran, you gave all for all!
Love and Respect
