Thank You
Dear Sp4 Chester Eden,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

high school
Sorry we lost touch with you after high school..We went to California as JR was in the Navy and on a destroyer in the Gulf of Tonkin . We went to Carter Co on Tuesday and left flowers on your tombstone up on the hill overlooking US 60. Jr spent many a night at your house by the railroad tracks. Always in our thoughts.

Remembering
Wade, I remember quite a few things about you. I remember how we played basketball every Saturday during basic training at Ft. Hood and how we became good friends. I remember how you saluted a full bird Colonel with your left hand at reception center in Ft. Knox and he just shook his head and laughed.
Remembering a hometowner and fellow soldier.

High School Buddy
Wade and I rode the school bus to Olive Hill High School each day. He was a star on our basketball team and a good friend to so many. It was a great loss to our little town.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SP4 Chester Wade Eden, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
