First Lieutenant Daniel Robert Dye, Served with Advisory Team 89, Headquarters, Military Assistance Command Vietnam Advisors, Military Assistance Command Vietnam (MACV). He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 48th Army of the Republic of Vietnam Regiment (48th ARVN), United States Army Vietnam. when he was killed in action.

Lt Daniel Dye’s wife was my teacher in the months shortly after my daddy was KIA in VietNam. An important, comforting person, Mrs. Dye, helped me to get through many difficult times. I was devastated when she left Koffman and even more heartbroken when our principal told me of her husband’s death. I’d love to tell her how important she is in my life.

My father served with you in Vietnam (MACV group). I don't think there is a day goes by that he wishes you could have come home like he did. He appreciates the fact you have not been forgotten. RIP

It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
